H.R.H. Prince Nayef bin Asem bin Nayef AL HASHIM is President of the Jordan Boxing Association and a member of the Executive Board of the Jordan Olympic Committee. A former amateur boxer, he practised the sport during his university studies in London before moving into sports administration and governance.
EXPERIENCE
Since becoming President of the Jordan Boxing Association in 2024, Prince Nayef has led a programme of organisational and governance reform focused on modernisation, transparency and stronger administrative systems. His work has included revising internal structures, introducing clearer reporting lines, strengthening strategic planning and implementing digital governance processes, including electronic documentation and voting procedures for Board and committee decisions.
Under his leadership, the Association has increased its focus on athlete development,financial support for boxers and the continued development of coaches and referees. Jordan hosted the Asian U15 and U17 Championships in 2025, with the Asian Club Championship scheduled to be held in the country for the first time in December 2026.

Han Bo (CHN)
PROFILE
Mr Han Bo is Secretary General of the Chinese Boxing Federation and a member of the Executive Board of Asian Boxing. He brings more than 15 years of experience in boxing administration, competition management and Olympic sports governance, combining technical expertise with senior federation leadership.
EXPERIENCE
A former boxer, Han Bo also holds credentials as an International Technical Official and national-level boxing referee and judge. He graduated from the Russian State University of Physical Education and Sports with a Master’s degree and is currently a doctoral candidate at Beijing Sport University. His professional development has included IOC Olympic training,international technical-official education and sports governance programmes organised by Chinese national sports authorities.
His event experience includes serving as Competition Director for the Asia-Oceania Olympic Boxing Qualification Event for Rio 2016, the boxing competition at the 2019 CISM Military World Games, and Big Air at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. These roles have given him experience in international competition standards, large-scale event delivery, stakeholder coordination and operational risk management.
In his current roles, Han Bo is involved in strategic planning, governance, policy development,stakeholder engagement, technical matters, risk management and digital transformation. Marcos Brito (BRA)

Mr Marcos Brito is President of the Brazilian Boxing Confederation (Confederação Brasileirade Boxe) and has served as a member of the World Boxing Executive Board since 2023.A qualified lawyer specialising in sports law, he brings more than a decade of experience in boxing governance, financial management, institutional relations and international sports administration.
EXPERIENCE
His progression within Brazilian boxing has included serving as Chief Financial Officer of thenational federation from 2012 to 2016, Vice President from 2016 to 2020, and President from2020. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the Panamerican Boxing Confederation.Across these roles, he has worked on governance, compliance, strategic planning, financial oversight, policy development and institutional reform.
Marcos Brito has extensive experience in major international competition and Olympic pathways. He managed the Brazilian boxing team across the London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic cycles, including qualification events and international championships. His event experience also includes organising and coordinating World Boxing Cup events in Foz do Iguaçu in 2025 and 2026, international training camps, Grand Prix competitions and the Americas Olympic qualification event connected to London 2012.
His legal and financial background has informed his approach to governance, particularly in relation to compliance, accountability, risk management and institutional stability. Richard Brooke (ENG)

Mr Richard Brooke is Chair of England Boxing and currently serves as Interim Chair of the World Boxing Finance and Audit Committee. A qualified accountant, he brings more than 40years of experience in finance, governance and organisational leadership across major commercial, public and sporting organisations.
EXPERIENCE
His professional career has included senior finance roles with large international companies,including serving as Group Finance Director at Sky during a period of significant growth and corporate development. He has been responsible for financial management in businesses with turnover exceeding £1 billion and has subsequently chaired a number of organisations in sport and business, including England Boxing, Clean Event Services Ltd and GBI Racing.
Since becoming Chair of England Boxing in 2022, Richard Brooke has led governance reforms focused on stronger Board oversight, broader representation, more effective committee structures and improved engagement with members. His work has emphasised accountability,transparency, strategic clarity and the importance of separating Board governance from day-to-day operational management.
He also brings extensive experience in sports broadcasting, rights acquisition and management, particularly through his background in pay television. Within World Boxing, he has served two periods as Interim Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and delivered the financial report to Congress in 2025.

Dr Ingrid Carter (USA)
PROFILE
Dr Ingrid Carter is a board-certified Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine physician with extensive clinical experience in trauma care, emergency medicine and elite sport. She currently serves as a World Boxing Ringside Physician and member of the World Boxing Medical Committee, as well as a member of the USA Boxing and Pan American Boxing Confederation Medical Committees.
EXPERIENCE
Dr Carter began working in boxing in 2017 as a USA Boxing Ringside Physician and has since provided medical coverage at local, national and international competitions. Her experience includes managing acute injuries, concussion, medical emergencies and return-to-sport decisions, giving her practical insight into athlete safety and ringside medical care. She became a World Boxing Ringside Physician in 2023.
Beyond boxing, she has worked as a team physician across collegiate sport, including American football, basketball, baseball, rowing, swimming, soccer and athletics. Her wider event experience includes international multi-sport competitions, professional tennis, wrestling events and the Chicago Marathon. She has also been involved in medical planning and risk management at major events, including the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games.
Her work within boxing’s medical structures has focused on athlete welfare, concussion management, injury prevention, competition safety and the development of practical, evidence-based medical standards. She has also emphasised medical education and consistent decision-making across federations with different levels of resources and infrastructure.

Mariami Dundua (GEO)
PROFILE
Ms Mariami Dundua is a senior administrator with the National Boxing Federation of Georgia and a certified World Boxing Continental Technical Official. She has been involved in Georgian boxing since 2015 and has held a range of administrative and leadership roles within the national federation.
EXPERIENCE
Her academic background combines law and sports management. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Georgia, completed studies in International Law at the University of Lodz in Poland, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management at the Georgian State University of Sport. She has also completed sports management training through the Georgian National Olympic Committee.
Within boxing, Mariami Dundua served as General Secretary of the National Boxing Federation of Georgia from 2016 to 2023 and again during 2025, before continuing in her current specialist role. She became an IBA-certified International Technical Official in 2023and a certified World Boxing Continental Technical Official in April 2026.
Her event experience includes managing international and domestic boxing tournaments in Georgia. She served as LOC Competition Manager for the 2019 European School-age Championships and the 2021 European Junior Championships, developing practical experience in event operations, stakeholder coordination, technical procedures and decision-making under pressure.

Matthew Holt (GBR)

Mr Matthew Holt is Chief Executive of GB Boxing and has served as Vice President of World Boxing since 2023. He brings more than 16 years of senior leadership experience in boxing and has played a central role in the establishment, development and governance of World Boxing from its earliest stages.

He holds an MBA in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool, a Master’s degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, and a First Class Honours degree in Politics and Modern History from the University of Edinburgh. His professional development includes UK Sport’s Leading Edge programme for governing body CEOs and its International Leadership Programme for International Federation representatives.
As Chief Executive of GB Boxing, Matthew Holt leads a high-performance programme of more than 70 athletes, coaches and support staff, overseeing strategy, finance, competition management, logistics, stakeholder relations, communications and commercial activity. Under his leadership, Great Britain has achieved sustained success across multiple Olympic cycles,with more than 100 medals won at major international competitions since 2010.
Matthew Holt was one of the co-founders of World Boxing, served on its Steering Committee and interim Executive Board, and was elected Vice President at the inaugural Congress in2023. He contributed to the organisation’s governing documents, early funding, membership growth, international launch and engagement with the IOC.
His international experience includes work with the IOC Boxing Task Force and Boxing Experts Group, involvement in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, and leadership roles in major event delivery, including the 2020 European Olympic Qualifier, World Boxing Cups in Great Britain and the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.

Pavel Hynek (CZE)

Mr Pavel Hynek is a Czech boxing official, sports administrator and business executive with more than 20 years of experience in Olympic and professional boxing. He is currently a member of the World Boxing Sports and Competition Committee and serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Czech Boxing Association.
EXPERIENCE
His boxing background includes extensive experience as a referee and judge in Olympic-style boxing, as well as in professional boxing with the WBC and European Boxing Union. He has officiated at European and world title level, served as a ring inspector at world title unification bouts, worked as a competition manager at international Olympic-style boxing events, and acted as a WBC Ring Officials Instructor.
Pavel Hynek was also involved in the formation of World Boxing from its early stages through the Common Cause Alliance and is a founding member of European Boxing. In 2025, he served as founding Chairman and legal representative of European Boxing and contributed to preparations for its inaugural Congress in Prague.
His wider event experience includes co-organising Europe vs Cuba and Europe vs Asia dual matches in Prague, organising Czech national championships, and serving as Competition Manager at international elite and youth tournaments. He also serves on the Marketing Commission of the Czech Olympic Committee.

Rauan Igenev (KAZ)

Mr Rauan Igenev is Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation and a sports administrator with experience spanning federation management, government sports policy and the Olympic Movement. Since taking up his current position in February 2024, he has led the development of the Federation’s strategy, financing structure, athlete pathway and international activities.
EXPERIENCE
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the International Academy of Business and a Master of Science in International Business from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He is also enrolled in the International Master Programme in Olympic Studies at the German Sport University Cologne.
Before moving into federation leadership, Rauan Igenev served as an Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and subsequently as Director of Educational, Scientific Activities and International Cooperation. His experience has included work related to national sports policy and Kazakhstan’s participation in the Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games. He also serves as a member of the Legal Council of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.
At the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, he has overseen a development programme focused on securing financing, strengthening depth across men’s and women’s weight categories, expanding international competition opportunities and developing the Federation’s media presence. He chaired the Organising Committee for the World Boxing Cup Astana2025 and has been involved in Kazakhstan securing the right to host the 2027 World Boxing Championships.

Ahmed Jarnaz (LBA)

Mr Ahmed Jarnaz is Secretary General of the Libyan Boxing Federation and Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research. He brings more than 15 years of experience in international cooperation, institutional management, project coordination and sports administration, together with practical experience in boxing as an athlete, referee and federation official.
EXPERIENCE
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Project Management from the United Kingdom and has undertaken further studies in sports management, governance, leadership and strategic development through the ISDE Sport Management Programme in Madrid. He also completed the GLOBE Leaders Programme in Coventry.
Ahmed Jarnaz practised amateur boxing from 2009 to 2014 before moving into technical officiating and administration. He has served as an international boxing referee and held the position of Chairman of the Referees and Judges Committee of the Libyan Boxing Federation from 2017 to 2024. He is also a member of the Referees and Judges Committee of the Arab Boxing Federation and currently serves on the Sports and Competition Committee of the African Boxing Confederation.
As Secretary General of the Libyan Boxing Federation, he has been involved in strategic planning, competition management, international relations, athlete participation, technical coordination and the development of administrative processes. His work has included strengthening cooperation with international sports organisations, improving documentation and decision-making procedures, and supporting the Federation’s participation in international competitions.

István Kovács (HUN)
PROFILE
Mr István Kovács is President of the Hungarian Boxing Association, a former Olympic, World and European champion boxer, and an experienced sports administrator with more than four decades of involvement in boxing as an athlete, official and international sports leader.
EXPERIENCE
As an amateur boxer, Kovács won Olympic gold at Atlanta 1996 and bronze at Barcelona1992, as well as two World Championship titles and two European Championship titles. He later competed professionally, winning the WBC International, EBU European and WBO World titles. His achievements made him the first Hungarian amateur world champion and the first Hungarian professional world champion.
Following his competitive career, Kovács moved into sports administration and governance.He has served as a WBO official since 2002 and WBO European Vice President since 2004.He has been a member of the Hungarian Olympic Committee since 2008 and a member of its Supervisory Board since 2017. He also served on the IOC Olympic Boxing Task Force from2018 to 2021 and as Secretary General of AIBA/IBA from 2021 to 2022. In 2024, he became President of the Hungarian Boxing Association and subsequently joined the Executive Board of European Boxing.
His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies, a Sports Manager degree and a Coaching degree. He has also developed a substantial media career across television, radio and sports publishing, alongside business activities and long-standing involvement in charitable initiatives.
As President of the Hungarian Boxing Association, Kovács has focused on legal compliance, transparency, financial stability, competition organisation and national-team preparation. He also chaired the Local Organising Committee for the 2025 U23 European Boxing Championships.

Kit Long Lou (MAC)

Mr Kit Long Lou is Vice President of the Macao Boxing General Association and Chairman of the Asian Boxing Judicial Committee. He has more than 20 years of experience across sports administration, event management, university sport and athlete development, with additional leadership roles across a wide range of sporting organisations in Macao and Asia.
EXPERIENCE
He holds both a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the Macau Polytechnic Institute. His academic background includes sports management, biomechanics, training theory, exercise physiology, sport sociology, sport biochemistry and educational psychology.
His wider sports leadership experience includes serving as East Asia representative on the Asian University Sports Federation Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Asian Hockey Federation’s Events and Strategy Committee, President of the Macau Universitarian Sports Association, and Vice President of the Federation of Macau China Sports General Associations. He has also held leadership positions in handball, table tennis, swimming, rope skipping and physical education.
Mr Lou has extensive experience in major event organisation and coordination. His portfolio includes FIBA 3×3 World Tour events, the Women’s Volleyball Nations League in Macao, the Macau International Marathon, national multi-sport competitions and international university championships. He has also led or chaired university sporting events across basketball, wushu and karate.

Ali Takleef Shaheed (IRQ)

Mr Ali Takleef Shaheed is President of the Iraqi Boxing Federation and an experienced boxing administrator with a background spanning elite competition, technical officiating, financial management and federation leadership. He has served the sport in a number of capacities,including as an athlete, international referee, Treasurer of the Iraqi Boxing Federation,Federation President and regional representative.
EXPERIENCE
As an athlete, Ali Takleef Shaheed competed at a high level and won both Asian and Arab boxing championship titles. After his competitive career, he became an international boxing referee, gaining experience in technical regulations, officiating standards, athlete safety and competition management.
He later moved into sports administration, serving as Treasurer of the Iraqi Boxing Federation,where his responsibilities included budgeting, financial oversight and institutional administration. He subsequently became President of the Federation and has served for two consecutive terms, overseeing its administrative, financial, technical and sporting activities.
At regional level, he has also been elected as a member of Asian Boxing representing West Asia. Through this role, he has worked with National Federations across the region and has developed experience in balancing national priorities with broader regional interests and international cooperation.

Shohid Tillaboev (UZB)
PROFILE
Mr Shohid Tillaboev is Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation and Chairperson of the Sport and Competition Commission of Asian Boxing. He brings extensive experience in boxing administration, competition management, event organisation and sports governance at national, continental and international levels.
EXPERIENCE
His academic background includes studies in law, foreign languages, engineering and sport. He holds qualifications from Tashkent Law College, Tashkent State University of Foreign Languages, Tashkent State Polytechnic University and Tashkent State Sports University, including a Master’s degree from Tashkent State Polytechnic University.
Within boxing, Shohid Tillaboev has served in a range of leadership and competition roles. He was Head of International Relations and later Executive Director of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation before becoming Secretary General in 2022. He has also served on the ASBC Competition Commission, the IBA Competition and Sports Committee, the interim Board of Asian Boxing, and since 2026 as Chairperson of the Asian Boxing Sport and Competition Commission.
His event-management experience includes serving as Executive Director of Organising Committees for the 2022 ASBC U22 Asian Boxing Championships, the 2023 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships and the 2026 ASBC U15 and U17 Asian Boxing Championships. Dr Ed van Wijk (NED)
PROFILE
Dr Ed van Wijk is a general practitioner and sports medicine physician with more than 40 years of experience in boxing medicine. He currently serves as a member of the World Boxing Medical Committee and has held senior medical roles at national, European and international levels.
EXPERIENCE
His professional background combines general practice, sports medicine and extensive ringside experience. Over the course of his career, Dr van Wijk has worked at four Olympic Games as a ring doctor and has also served as Chairman of the AIBA Doping Commission. He has developed broad expertise in athlete safety, medical clearance, anti-doping, competition medicine and the management of medical issues both inside and outside the ring.
Within boxing governance, he has served as Chairman of the Dutch Medical Commission, a member of the European Boxing Medical Commission, a member of the World Boxing Medical Committee and previously as Chairman of the AIBA Medical Commission. He also has experience with medical committees in other sports, including triathlon and cycling.
Dr van Wijk’s event experience includes national and international championships as well as Olympic competition. His work has required difficult medical decisions, including advising athletes not to compete on health grounds and dealing with anti-doping cases affecting eligibility.

PRIORITIES
As a candidate for Chair of the Medical and Anti-Doping Committee, Dr van Wijk has identified boxer safety, improved ringside protocols, concussion and traumatic brain injury prevention, weight-management risks, transparent medical governance and fair anti-doping procedures as priorities. His stated objective is to strengthen World Boxing’s medical framework and ensure that athlete health and safety remain central to the organisation’s development.
