The World Boxing Cup Finals 2024 saw forty-two boxers take the ring on day one of competition at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, England.
Two sessions of high-quality action saw five Paris 2024 Olympians, including three from Brazil, advance to the next round of the competition.
Another country which enjoyed a good opening day was Japan which led the way with five wins from five as it made an impressive start to its first appearance in World Boxing Cup event. In addition to Brazil’s three victories, Korea also nabbed a trio of wins on the opening day of competition.
Tomorrow’s (Thursday 28 November 2024) action will begin at 11:00 GMT and see 24 more bouts consisting of 12 men’s and 12 women’s matchups.
