India and the USA both enjoyed success on day three of the 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok as both countries saw five of their boxers make it through to the next round of the competition.
For India, Joyshree Devi Chirom (W54kg) and Prachi Prachi (W60kg) both won via stoppages while Chandrika Bhoreshi Pujari (W51kg) and Ambekar Meetei Lairenlakpam (M50kg) enjoyed unanimous victories. Gunjan Gunjan (W48kg) secured India’s fifth win of the day via split decision.
For the USA, Guadalupe Ruiz (W54kg), Liana Nonhphala (W48kg), Ruby Lopez (W51kg) and Refugio Veloz Medrano (M50kg) secured unanimous victories while Kaylee Aguilar (W60kg) progressed via walkover.
Other nations to enjoy success on day three included Japan and Uzbekistan who both saw four of their boxer’s progress to the next round. Mexico and Romania were the next best performers with three boxers each making it through to the next stage.

Action is in two rings and the next day’s sessions will get underway at 11:00 and 17:00 local time.
The 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup is part of the qualification pathway for this November’s Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar, Senegal and is open to boxers born between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009.
