The 2026 PanAmerican Boxing Championships begin today (18 October) in Puebla, Mexico, bringing together leading male and female boxers from across the Americas for seven days of continental competition.
Organised by the Panamerican Boxing Confederation (PBC), the Championships will feature Olympians, continental champions and World Championship medallists, with boxers from 26 National Federations competing for medals and continental titles.
The competition also has added significance as the first qualification event for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, providing an important opportunity for athletes on the road to one of the region’s major multi-sport events.
The official draws have now been confirmed, with the opening day featuring 22 bouts across two sessions, beginning at 12:30 and 17:30 local time.
The programme includes contests in both the men’s and women’s competitions, with the opening bouts featuring boxers from countries including Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States.
Competition will continue throughout the week, with daily sessions scheduled at 12:00 and 17:00 local time from 19 October, culminating in the continental finals on Saturday 24 October.
The Championships form part of World Boxing’s growing continental competition programme and follow the Asian and European Boxing Championships held earlier in 2026, underlining the continued development of international Olympic-style boxing across the world.
All bouts will be streamed live, with English-language coverage available on WorldBoxing.TV and Spanish-language coverage on the Panam Sports Channel.
