OVER 450 boxers from more than 78 National Federations are registered to take part in the World Boxing Futures Cup, which begins on Sunday 8 March 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tournament, which is being delivered by World Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association, will run until Sunday 15 March 2026 and is part of the qualification pathway for boxers to be able to participate in the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar, Senegal in November of this year.
The World Boxing Futures Cup is an U19 tournament so to be eligible to compete all boxers must have been born between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009.
The competition will feature action at ten weight classes for both male and female boxers, with National Federations able to register one athlete at each category.
When the action gets underway on Monday 8 March, it will be a two-ring set-up at the Indoor Stadium Huamark with two sessions per day culminating in one session of gold medal bouts on the final day.
