Quarter finals complete on day three at World Boxing Cup – Felix Stamm: Poland 2025

May 14, 2025

Another action-packed day of boxing at Arena COS Torwar, in Warsaw, saw the remaining quarter-final bouts take place, setting up a full day of semi-finals on Thursday.

Several semi-finals were also completed today, including Poland’s Jakub Straszewski win over England’s Teagn Stott by 4:1 split decision, in the men’s 85kg. The other semi in the weight class was won by Akmaljon Isroilov, of Uzbekistan.

The women’s 65kg semi-finals also took place with another home victory, this time for Weronika Dziubek, while Italy’s Angela Carini booked her place in the final with unanimous decision success. Meanwhile, in the only semi-final of the women’s 80kg, Elif Guneri, of Türkiye, defeated England’s Emily Asquith via a 3:2 split decision.

The remaining semi-finals were in the men’s 80kg, where Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Ummataliev secured a 4:1 victory and Italy’s Alfred Cromwell Commey earned a confident 5:0 win, setting up their final on Friday.

Italy and Türkiye enjoyed strong performances across the day with three wins each, while Mongolia earned four victories that included a walkover win in the women’s 54kg. It was a familiar story, however, with Uzbekistan and Poland leading the way with five and six wins respectively.

A full day of semi-finals await tomorrow with 28 bouts across 14 weight categories. For a full list of the results and more information, including images, visit: https://pzb.com.pl/puchar-swiata-warszawa-2025
