THE competition schedule for the World Boxing Championships 2025 (4-14 September 2025) at the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool has been officially released and is available HERE.
The schedule provides details of the weight classes that will box on each day of the competition and enables fans to buy tickets for the specific sessions where they want to watch boxers compete in particular weight categories. Every day features a late morning session, starting at either 11:00 (BST) or 12:00 (BST), and an evening session that gets underway at 18:00 (BST).

The opening bell of a competition that will feature more than 550 boxers from over 65 countries will ring at 11:00 on Thursday 4 September, when fans will be able to watch the preliminaries of the women’s light-flyweight (W48kg), flyweight (W51kg) and middleweight (W75kg) competitions and the first rounds of the men’s bantamweight (M55kg), welterweight (M65kg) and light-middleweight (M70kg) divisions.
The evening session will see action in the women’s bantamweight (54kg) and light-middleweight (70kg) categories and the men’s lightweight (M60kg), light-heavyweight (80kg) and heavyweight (90kg) competitions.
The competition will continue with two sessions per day except for a rest day on Thursday 11 September. Action will be in two rings, with flexible seating, until the final three days when the M&S Bank Arena will be converted a single ring set-up.
Boxers can begin to guarantee a medal when the quarter finals get underway on Wednesday 10 September. This promises to be blockbuster day of action and drama that will feature 32 medal bouts (across two rings) in both the morning and evening sessions, all of which will have a place on the podium at stake and the opportunity for the boxers to guarantee themselves at least a bronze medal.
The semi-finals and finals will take place over three days from Friday to Sunday (12-14 September), when 10 men and 10 women will be crowned World Boxing Champion.
The Chair of the Steering Group of the Local Organising Committee of the World Boxing Championships 2025, Jason Harborow, said: “This is going to be a fantastic event and the publication of the schedule really adds to the anticipation and excitement as it means that fans now have an idea of when different weight categories will be competing and can begin to identify times when they hope to watch certain boxers.
“We have more than 40 boxers from Great Britian and Ireland and a host of established world class performers, including 17 medallists from Paris 2024, registered to take part, so this is a brilliant opportunity for fans to get behind boxers from their country and see world class talents from across the globe, some of whom will go on to become huge stars of the future.”
Liverpool was selected as the host of the inaugural World Boxing Championships 2025 following a successful bid that was developed by a group of partners which comprised England Boxing, GB Boxing, Liverpool City Council and the M&S Bank Arena, with the support of the National Lottery and UK Sport. Event partners are Sting, Nike Boxing, Brabners, the Liverpool Bid Company and Visit Liverpool.
